Golden Dragon builds first Ebusco carbon fiber electric bus for Europe

Golden Dragon Bus Co., Ltd. and Ebusco B.V. have completed the first carbon fiber electric bus at Golden Dragon’s Longhai plant. This marks a significant step in their collaboration to produce zero-emission buses for the European market.

The milestone was celebrated on July 7 in Xiamen, where the companies signed a strategic cooperation agreement to enhance their partnership in Europe. The collaboration between Golden Dragon and the Dutch manufacturer Ebusco began in 2012, focusing on electric bus projects for Europe.

The newly produced vehicle is an 18-meter articulated battery-electric bus designed for the European market. The bus combines Ebusco’s design and lightweight body technology with Golden Dragon’s manufacturing capabilities. Senior representatives from both companies and customers from France attended the ceremony, underscoring the European market focus.

Golden Dragon and Ebusco formalized a strategic cooperation agreement to deepen their industrial partnership. Ebusco will contribute vehicle design expertise and market presence in Europe, while Golden Dragon will provide manufacturing capacity and quality management.

Future cooperation aims to extend beyond vehicle production to include manufacturing, supply chain integration, and aftersales support. Industry partners such as Gotion High-tech Co., Ltd. and Zhongfu Membranes & Water Technology Co., Ltd. are also involved in the program.
