The appointments signal Paragraf's push to scale graphene semiconductor manufacturing and expand into global electronics markets, drawing on advisors with deep experience at firms including Texas Instruments, Micron, KLA, and imec.

Paragraf, a company specializing in graphene-based electronic devices, has announced the formation of a new Advisory Committee and the addition of new members to its board of directors. Based in Somersham, Cambridgeshire, UK, Paragraf integrates graphene directly onto standard semiconductor substrates, advancing two-dimensional technologies for electronic devices. The company operates a dedicated graphene device foundry, providing high-performance, low-power technologies and foundry services to various markets.

The newly established Advisory Committee will support Paragraf's board and executive team as the company scales production and expands internationally. This move aims to enhance Paragraf's integration into the global electronics manufacturing ecosystem. The committee includes Oreste Donzella, Jean-Michel Richard, and Thomas Piliszczuk, with Donzella and Richard also joining the board as non-executive directors.

CEO and co-founder Dr. Simon Thomas stated that the addition of these members marks Paragraf's transition from a startup to a full-scale semiconductor manufacturing company specializing in advanced materials. The new committee members bring extensive global industry experience, which will be vital for developing new markets and technologies.

Oreste Donzella, with over 30 years in the semiconductor industry, has held leadership roles at Texas Instruments, Micron Technology, and KLA Corp. He is recognized as a VLSI Semiconductor All Star and serves on several boards and advisory roles, including at KLA and imec.

Jean-Michel Richard brings over 30 years of experience in financial strategy and scaling high-growth companies. He has held senior roles at LPKF Laser & Electronics AG and Ebury, and advises Vitruvian Partners and UC Berkeley's SkyDeck.

Thomas Piliszczuk, a leader in the semiconductor industry, is currently executive VP and chief R&D programs and portfolio officer at imec. His previous roles include executive VP for global business and strategy at Soitec and various positions at KLA. He has also collaborated with DARPA and SEMATECH on lithography projects.
