Solidion Technology Granted 7 New Patents for Composite Battery Anodes

Solidion Technology (Nasdaq: STI) was granted 7 new US patents on June 8, 2026, bringing its total anode materials patent portfolio to 130 US patents. The patents cover a silane-free, graphene-enabled silicon anode process that raises Si loading in porous graphene balls to 90%, directly addressing cost, safety, and energy density limitations in current CVD-based carbon-silicon composite anode manufacturing.

Solidion Technology Inc. (NASDAQ: STI) has announced the grant of seven new U.S. patents, enhancing its extensive portfolio of anode materials for lithium batteries. The company's silicon anode technology is engineered to improve energy density and reduce costs in various applications, including AI data centers, unmanned aerial vehicles, humanoid robots, and electric vehicles.

A key advancement in Solidion's technology is the use of porous graphene balls capable of accommodating up to 90% silicon in the graphene/silicon composite. This design overcomes the limitations of traditional porous carbon particles, which accept less silicon and thus limit energy density. Additionally, Solidion employs a silane-free process, addressing safety and cost concerns associated with silane gas.

Solidion's approach also emphasizes the use of domestically sourced feedstock. Graphene, a critical component, is produced by the Global Graphene Group from biomass available in North America, mitigating supply chain disruptions.

Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, with facilities in Dayton, Ohio, Solidion Technology focuses on next-generation battery materials and components. The company holds over 385 patents, covering innovations in silicon anodes, lithium-sulfur, and lithium-metal technologies.
