Researchers at Yunnan Normal University and Kunming University of Science and Technology used biomass-derived graphene as a catalyst support to cut iridium loading in oxygen-evolution reaction catalysts for PEM electrolysis while maintaining performance.
A research team has demonstrated that biomass-derived graphene can serve as a support that lowers the iridium content required in oxygen-evolution reaction catalysts for proton-exchange-membrane water electrolysis, a step toward cheaper green-hydrogen production.
