GMG's THERMAL-XR graphene coating reaches 30000-hour corrosion milestone
Graphene Manufacturing Group (GMG) has reported over AU$400,000 (around US$278,000) in sales orders for their THERMAL‑XR graphene coating in June 2026. This milestone underscores the growing demand for graphene-based solutions in corrosion resistance applications.
Graphene Manufacturing Group (GMG) has announced a record month for sales of its THERMAL‑XR graphene-enhanced coating, with orders exceeding AU$400,000 (approximately US$278,000) in June 2026. The increased demand is attributed to its applications in HVAC‑R and industrial energy-saving sectors. GMG has also scaled up production by commissioning a dedicated THERMAL‑XR blending plant capable of producing hundreds of thousands of liters annually and has expanded its distributor networks in North America and Asia.
Separately, GMG reported that its THERMAL‑XR graphene coating has achieved a significant milestone by completing 30,000 hours of global benchmark corrosion testing without any signs of corrosion. This follows the coating's prior success in surpassing several ASTM and ISO corrosion-resistance standards.
According to GMG, the combination of growing commercial success and robust durability data indicates that graphene-based coatings are becoming viable, high-value solutions. These coatings improve heat transfer, reduce energy consumption, and extend equipment lifespan in challenging environments such as data centers, LNG plants, and large building HVAC‑R systems.
