HydroGraph hosts Congressman John Carter at new Texas headquarters

HydroGraph Clean Power Inc. has officially opened its new headquarters in Austin, Texas, marking a significant step in its U.S. expansion strategy. The facility includes a commercial manufacturing site capable of producing 360 tons of graphene annually, with plans to expand capacity to over 750 tons per year. This development underscores HydroGraph's commitment to increasing U.S. production of pristine graphene, a material in growing demand across sectors such as defense, energy, and aerospace.

Congressman John Carter, alongside industry leaders and strategic partners, toured the Austin facility, which is designed to produce up to 30 tons of pristine graphene annually. This production capacity supports HydroGraph's efforts to commercialize its graphene products for various industrial applications. Congressman Carter highlighted the importance of HydroGraph's presence in Texas, emphasizing the potential impact on industries like aerospace and advanced manufacturing.

HydroGraph is also advancing its Bellville, Texas manufacturing facility, which is expected to begin operations in 2027. By utilizing hydrocarbon feedstocks, HydroGraph aims to bolster a resilient domestic supply chain for advanced materials. This initiative aligns with government priorities to secure critical material supply chains, with graphene playing a crucial role in national security and advanced manufacturing.

The company's proprietary Hyperion Reactor™ technology employs a patented detonation synthesis process to convert hydrocarbon gases into graphene. This approach offers cost-effective, energy-efficient production of ultra-high purity graphene, eliminating the need for graphite as a starting material. HydroGraph's technology positions it as a leader in supplying high-quality graphene for next-generation industries.

During the facility tour, Congressman Carter discussed with HydroGraph's leadership the role of advanced materials in strengthening the U.S. defense industrial base and reducing reliance on foreign supply chains. Currently, much of the world's graphene production depends on graphite sourced from overseas, particularly China. HydroGraph's method of using domestic hydrocarbon feedstocks supports supply chain resilience and industrial competitiveness.

The opening of HydroGraph's Texas headquarters and the development of its Bellville facility are key milestones in establishing a leading commercial graphene production platform in North America.
