HydroGraph signs agreements for Texas graphene manufacturing facility to support U.S. expansion
HydroGraph signed 10-year agreements to secure feedstock supply and the Bellville, Texas site for its planned graphene production. This expansion supports increased graphene manufacturing capacity, which is crucial for meeting growing demand in sectors utilizing advanced carbon materials.
HydroGraph Clean Power (USOTC:HGRAF) has finalized agreements to secure acetylene supply and a land lease, facilitating the establishment of its first large-scale U.S. graphene manufacturing facility. Production is set to commence in the first half of 2027.
The company has signed 10-year agreements to ensure both feedstock supply and the site location in Bellville, Texas, for its planned graphene production facility. This facility is initially designed to produce up to 360 tons of graphene annually, with potential expansion to over 750 tons per year.
A dedicated acetylene pipeline and long-term supply agreement aim to mitigate supply chain risks and support continuous production. HydroGraph's modular Hyperion Reactors are designed to scale production capacity in line with customer demand, requiring relatively low capital investment.
Additional reactors at HydroGraph's Austin headquarters are expected to enhance product development and increase near-term manufacturing capacity. The company has announced definitive agreements with Western International Gas & Cylinders, securing a long-term acetylene supply agreement and a ground lease for the Bellville site.
The 10-year acetylene purchase agreement will provide direct pipeline access to the primary feedstock used in HydroGraph's proprietary Hyperion Reactor technology. The leased site will house the company's first large-scale U.S. graphene manufacturing facility, which HydroGraph will construct, own, and operate.
The initial facility will cover approximately 40,000 square feet, with an estimated cost of US$5 million to US$6 million. HydroGraph plans to install six Hyperion Reactors initially, enabling production of up to 360 tons of Fractal Graphene™ annually. The site is also designed to support future expansion beyond 750 tons of annual capacity.
Separately, three Hyperion Reactors being installed at the Austin headquarters are expected to provide up to 30 tons of annual production capacity starting in September 2026 for development activities.
This announcement marks a shift from planning to execution of HydroGraph's U.S. manufacturing strategy by securing a long-term feedstock source and a commercial production location. Reliable acetylene access through a dedicated pipeline could enhance operational stability and reduce transportation complexity.
The modular deployment of Hyperion Reactors indicates HydroGraph's strategy to expand capacity incrementally, aligning with customer demand while managing capital deployment. The company aims to build a domestic graphene supply chain to serve both commercial and government customers.
Investors will monitor several upcoming milestones: progress on permitting and site preparation in Bellville, construction of the Texas facility, installation and commissioning of the initial six Hyperion Reactors, startup of the Austin headquarters reactors in September 2026, and the opening of the Bellville facility in the first half of 2027.
