Talbros partners with Lohum to form recovered carbon black joint venture

Talbros has partnered with Lohum to establish a joint venture for trading, manufacturing, and refining recovered carbon black. This collaboration aims to enhance the supply chain and utilization of recovered carbon black, a sustainable alternative to traditional carbon black in composites and rubber products.

Talbros Automotive Components Limited has entered into a joint venture with Lohum Cleantech Private Limited to create Lohum Talbros CarbonTech Private Limited. This new entity will focus on the trading, manufacturing, production, and refining of recovered Carbon Black (rCB), along with related by-products and devulcanized rubber.

The partnership leverages Lohum's advanced recycling technologies and Talbros' established relationships within the automotive original equipment manufacturer (OEM) sector. This collaboration aims to enhance the domestic market for recovered carbon materials.

The joint venture is structured with a 51:49 equity split, favoring Lohum Cleantech. The board will consist of five directors, with Lohum appointing three and Talbros two. The initial equity share capital is INR 100,000, with Lohum contributing Rs 51,000 and Talbros Rs 49,000.
