UK partnership expands as PureGRAPH heat sensors enter market

First Graphene and Vector have partnered to launch PureGRAPH® heat sensors.

First Graphene Limited has entered into a Strategic Partner Agreement with UK-based Vector Companies Group Limited. This agreement coincides with the commercial launch of Vector's Peltyr printed heat flux sensors, which incorporate First Graphene's PureGRAPH®. The sensors are designed to measure heat transfer through building surfaces, providing data on insulation performance before and after energy-efficiency upgrades.

The 36-month partnership allows Vector to introduce potential end-users to First Graphene's range of graphene products. Vector also has the option to purchase products directly from First Graphene under separate purchase orders. This collaboration expands the existing relationship between the two companies and provides First Graphene with access to Vector's network in advanced materials, manufacturing, and the built environment.

Vector's Peltyr sensors offer a practical application of graphene technology, enabling users to calculate an in-situ U-value, which measures how readily heat passes through a structure. This capability is crucial for building owners and retrofit assessors to evaluate thermal performance accurately. The sensors have broader applications across various industries, including aerospace, automotive, and HVAC, where understanding heat transfer is essential.

The global heat flux sensor market is projected to reach $455.8 million by 2034, driven by demand from these sectors. This presents a significant opportunity for First Graphene to expand its presence in the market. First Graphene's Managing Director and CEO, Michael Bell, emphasized the importance of the partnership with Vector in advancing commercial opportunities and highlighted the role of graphene in solving industrial challenges.

The Peltyr sensors represent a milestone in the commercialization of graphene-enhanced products, showcasing the transition from development to market-ready solutions. This development aligns with the construction industry's move towards a lower carbon future by providing scalable, cost-effective sensors that deliver real performance data.
