Canatu Finland Oy, a subsidiary of Canatu Plc, has concluded change negotiations initiated on August 31, 2026, under the Finnish Co-operation Act. These negotiations involved the Operations function, the Robotics, Mobility and Defence unit, and the Medical Diagnostics unit, addressing financial and production-related concerns. The negotiations ended on September 11, 2026, resulting in a decision to terminate up to 14 employment contracts based on production and financial grounds, as outlined in Chapter 7, Section 3 of the Employment Contracts Act.
The primary aim of these negotiations was to enhance operational efficiency and achieve cost savings in alignment with the company's revised strategy, thereby supporting long-term profitability and cash flow improvements. All employees in the Operations function, except those in the IT team, as well as employees in the Robotics, Mobility and Defence and Medical Diagnostics units, were included in the discussions.
The discussions involved representatives from all employee groups, focusing on the plans, alternatives, and potential impacts. The company's management has been authorized to implement the decisions in compliance with applicable laws and collective agreements, with implementation measures set to begin promptly.
