Levidian launches NanoFlow A1-30 aqueous graphene dispersion with water-like viscosity

Levidian has introduced NanoFlow™ A1-30, a high-concentration aqueous dispersion containing 30 wt.% G3 graphene, which maintains a low-viscosity, water-like consistency. This product expands Levidian's NanoFlow™ series of graphene dispersions, previously featuring NanoFlow-S1-20, a 20 wt.% solvent-based additive in xylene.

While dispersing graphene in water is straightforward at low concentrations, achieving high graphene loading while keeping the material pourable and manageable presents challenges. NanoFlow™ A1-30 addresses this by offering a significant graphene concentration in an aqueous format, facilitating integration into water-based systems without the thick consistency typical of high-loading dispersions.

The product serves as a concentrated starting point for various water-based applications, including paints, coatings, batteries, concrete, lubricants, inks, and other advanced formulations. Samples are available for customers and development partners to evaluate its handling and potential benefits in their formulations.

Nasir Macadam, Principal Engineer at Levidian, stated: "One of the major challenges in adopting graphene is not just understanding its capabilities, but finding a simple and repeatable method to incorporate it into existing products or processes. With NanoFlow™ A1-30, we have achieved a 30 wt.% graphene loading while maintaining a fluid, water-like consistency. This provides customers with a highly concentrated product that remains easy to handle and integrate into water-based systems. Whether developing a coating, battery material, concrete admixture, or lubricant, the goal is to simplify the process of working with G3 and quickly assess its value."

Levidian's G3 graphene is produced using the company's patented LOOP technology, which converts methane into hydrogen and graphene via a low-temperature microwave plasma process. LOOP's modular design supports regional production near demand, enhancing supply security and reducing the environmental impact of transporting advanced materials.
