Premier Graphene advances military contract in Mexico, eyes graphene products

Premier Graphene and HGI Industrial Technologies have reached a new milestone by completing the first manufacturing payment for 1,600 protective military belts under a contract with Mexico's Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional. This development highlights the growing use of graphene in defense applications, showcasing its potential to enhance the durability and protective capabilities of military equipment.

Premier Graphene and HGI Industrial Technologies have reached a new milestone in their strategic collaboration with the completion of the first manufacturing payment for 1,600 protective military belts. This order is part of the second contract awarded by Mexico’s Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional (SEDENA).

The payment initiates full-scale manufacturing, with HGI responsible for production, quality assurance, and compliance with SEDENA’s requirements. Production is already underway, marking progress in the companies’ defense-related initiatives.

Epidemiologic Solutions Corporation (ESC), a U.S.-based public charity, facilitated the initiative by advancing the initial payment and guaranteeing the remaining production costs. ESC stated that its involvement aligns with its mission to enhance personnel safety through protective capabilities of the belts and expressed support for future graphene-enhanced developments.

The companies emphasized that this project is more than a single contract milestone. It underscores a broader commitment to innovation in advanced materials, particularly graphene-based technologies. According to Pedro Mendez, President, the collaboration is expanding into areas such as graphene-enhanced defense composites, aerospace coatings, quantum-related materials research, and critical mineral resource development in Mexico and South America.

The partners expect these efforts to contribute to long-term profitability and strengthen their position in advanced manufacturing and defense supply chains.

Looking ahead, Premier and HGI indicated that additional projects are in the pipeline, including products with graphene enhancements. Their ongoing collaboration reflects a shared strategy focused on scaling advanced materials applications and supporting strategic industrial and defense initiatives across Latin America.
