Nanospan has introduced GalvaShield-G, a graphene-enhanced corrosion inhibitor coating designed for offshore wind turbine towers and monopile foundations. This product reportedly extends maintenance intervals from 5 to 12 years, as verified by third-party accelerated weathering trials conducted by TUV Nord. The pricing is set at EUR 18 per litre, with a minimum order quantity of 500 litres. Initial customers include two unnamed European wind operators managing over 800 turbines collectively.

According to Nanospan CEO Sarah Linfield, GalvaShield-G addresses significant operational costs associated with in-situ maintenance from service vessels in challenging sea conditions. The coating is compatible with standard spray equipment and cures in less than 4 hours at 15 degrees Celsius. The company's Hyderabad facility has a manufacturing capacity of 1,200 tonnes annually, with plans to expand to 3,000 tonnes by the third quarter of next year. This launch follows a three-year development collaboration with Larsen and Toubro's offshore engineering division.
